Ballasts

Ballasts are used for supplying starting voltage to fluorescent, mercury vapor lamps, and arc lamps. After the initial start up, ballasts regulate the lamp current and power. Ballasts come in two categories: magnetic and electronic. Both are offered in rapid start and instant start.

Magnetic ballasts are also offered in T12 sign illuminating and are generally used in mercury vapor lamps, arc lamps, and older fluorescents.

Electronic ballasts are also offered in dimming, high efficiency multivolt and instant start.

Fuses
