I would personally like to make you aware that after more than 38 years of serving our customers’ specialty light bulb needs, Specialty Bulb Co. has made the difficult decision to cease operating. This decision was made in particular because we were no longer able to continue to provide the level of customer service that our business was formed on and known for, and on which we prided ourselves.
The good news is that I have found common cause with Bulbtronics Group (BTG), an organization that is known for the same dedication to customer service as we were. BTG was founded in 1976 on all of the very same principles as SBC. BTG is a stocking distributor with excellent customer service and an even larger breadth of quality products than SBC had: complete lines of lamps and lighting fixtures, along with related expendables and batteries, for the healthcare, laboratory, germicidal, graphic arts, horticultural, commercial, hospitality, transportation, film & broadcast, theatre & live event, and all other marketplaces.
I, as the former President and owner of SBC, have transitioned both myself and my industry connections to BTG. You, as a former customer of Specialty Bulb Co., will not only be able to work directly with me at BTG, but you also will benefit from the fact that they have 4 stocking locations in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, and Las Vegas. Working with me at BTG will mean familiarity with your company and its requirements, and working under the BTG umbrella will mean getting back to the improved delivery times that you expected of SBC. Working with BTG will also mean us now keeping stock of your most frequently used lamps on the shelf at a warehouse closest to you.
